Born Again

I do not wish for life in Heaven

but one more walk with You.

For every time I’ve gone astray Your waters they pour through

my eyes are damns of memories

You’re the One I have remebered

for it’s your breath that fills my lungs

my heart breaks in surrender.

I do not wish to see Your face

but one more flower’s bloom.

For even in the cold dark night You’ve given me the moon

light ablaze my fallow fields

You’re the One that will renew

for suffering cannot compare the grace You’ve led me to.

I do not wish to hear Your voice

but one more chance to dream.

For life itself, reality, is that which is serene

my body’s found it’s place, a home

You’re the One I live upon

for the path that lies ahead of me is one You’ve put me on.
